Entertainers, creative sector have a role to play in creating a positive environment – Duncan
Keith Duncan, former president of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica and co-chair of Project STAR, has emphasized the crucial role that entertainers and members of the creative sector can play in creating a positive environment for Jamaicans. Speaking at the media launch of Rebel Salute, he said that they can provide tangible investments in people and impart positive messages to the youth and all Jamaicans. He highlighted Tony Rebel as a positive force in the industry, and Project STAR plans to collaborate with the entertainment sector to create designated entertainment zones in communities, promoting economic and social development. Launched in July, Project STAR is a social and economic development initiative created by the PSOJ in partnership with the Jamaica Constabulary Force, with a focus on mindset change and incorporating the teachings of Marcus Garvey.
