Growth & Jobs | Young father secures employment through community intervention

Kristoff James, a young father who had been searching for a job for seven months, found employment as a data entry clerk at Jamaica Money Market Brokers (JMMB) through the Project STAR social and economic development initiative. After receiving self-development training, including resume writing, preparing for job interviews, and personal competencies, James went on two interviews and landed the job. He praises Project STAR for its inclusivity and encourages others to sign up for the employment program. The initiative, which has trained 21 people so far, plans to roll out in other parishes across the island.
